Driver C Loader

As a commercial waste driver/loader, you collect commercial waste, old paper, and cardboard from customers like supermarkets, offices, bakeries, and campsites. Your routes vary daily but always stay within your region. Together with your colleague, you make sure the waste is collected efficiently, responsibly, and recycled properly. You often interact with customers and enjoy friendly chats along the way. Thanks to your knowledge of the routes, you know exactly where the containers are located. Although you work independently on your truck, you are always accompanied by your colleague.

What does your day look like as a commercial waste driver/loader?

• Start the day with a cup of coffee and a route discussion with your colleague and planner
• Inspect the truck quickly and head to the first stop
• Empty waste containers into the compactor truck during your route
• Alternate between driving and loading duties with your colleague
• Deliver the collected waste to a depot or processing facility at scheduled times
• Check at the end of your route if colleagues need any help
• Return to the depot in Amsterdam and finish your workdayYour workday usually starts between 6:30 and 7:00 AM, and depending on the route, you return between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. Work is Monday through Friday, giving you weekends off.

• Earn a gross hourly wage of €17.30 to €19.46 according to scale D of the Collective Labor Agreement for Professional Goods Transport.

• You are a dependable, team-focused driver with a positive attitude.
• You hold a valid Category C driving license, including Code 95 and a valid tachograph card.
• You are available to work between 32 and 40 hours per week.
• You enjoy collaborating and take initiative to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• You have strong spoken and written Dutch skills.
• You live within 30 km of Amsterdam, or in the Utrecht, Hoofddorp, Haarlem, Zaandam, Purmerend, or Almere area.
